As a family, we love finding new places to visit and explore. With our recent move, we now have new horizons to conquer.
A couple of weeks ago, a friend from our new church told us about Southern Grace Farms in Enigma, GA. Excited about what I heard, I went online to see what I could find. That is when I came across their Facebook page and realized they were less than an hour away form our house. Since it is the middle of strawberry season and none of us had ever picked strawberries before, I figured this would be a perfect time to go visit them.
Their website and Facebook page were easy to find and had all the info I needed to plan our visit. Unfortunately, the first time we went we ended up arriving only a few minutes before a big storm and hardly had time to enjoy the place. We weren’t going to give up that easily though, on our next family day we decided we wanted to go back for a proper visit. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and the strawberries too!
One of the things the kiddos really enjoyed about Southern Grace Farms was the cool playground. This is not your conventional playground, at least not like the ones we are used to. To start, they have an old boat and two jet-skis the kids can play on, as well as several tire structures and swings, and a cool slide made out of rolling pvc pipes. I wish I had taken more pictures of the playground.
Best of all, besides the basket full of perfectly delicious strawberries we got to bring home, is their homemade strawberry ice cream. I am not a big fan of strawberry ice cream but this is certainly the best I have ever tasted. Yum!!!
And then, on the way home, we drove by this beautiful field…
Now we are looking forward to their blackberry, peach, blueberry, plum, and nectarine season =D
