Yesterday, as we were driving home after running errands all day, we spotted a beautiful sight. Just a few miles north of Brownsville, right along the highway, there were these huge cotton fields that seemed to stretch on for miles. While the plants themselves were mostly dry, the flowers were all in bloom making the whole place look like a giant cloud farm. It was mesmerizing.
How had I not seen these before?
Although I am still not sure of the answer to this question, yesterday I did know one thing, we had to stop. We simply could not pass up this opportunity to see those soft little puffs of cotton up close.
